On 19th January, Kronicle, the official debating society of KIIT, organized the prestigious Founder’s Cup, an event established by our esteemed Founder, Dr. Achyuta Samanta, to celebrate oration, intellectual exchange, and the pursuit of knowledge. This year, the event spanned two days, with an orientation session on the 18th, followed by the main competition on the 19th. Bringing together some of the sharpest and most passionate minds on campus, the tournament saw an impressive 150 participants, engaging in spirited debate and thought-provoking discussions. It served as a platform for students to showcase their eloquence, critical thinking, and the power of ideas.
This year’s edition witnessed remarkable performances, with Arpita Kar securing First Place, Bhargavi Siva earning Second Place, and Abhiman Gurnani taking Third Place. Their compelling speeches and insightful arguments truly embodied the spirit of the competition.
