Ayushi Panda, a 3rd-year B.Tech student from the School of Computer Engineering, has been crowned Miss Odisha India 2025.

Ayushi is an active member of Team Kyra, the modeling wing of Kzarshion, KIIT’s Fashion Society under KSAC. Her dedication, confidence, and elegance shone brightly at the grand finale, where she secured the prestigious state title.

This remarkable victory also marks her as the first official finalist for Femina Miss India 2025, placing her on the national stage and one step closer to representing India at the 74th Miss World pageant.

The Ensemble Crew (TEC) from Korus delivered a spectacular performance and clinched 3rd place in the Group Dance Competition at Regional College of Management (RCM), Bhubaneswar on 28th April 2025.

Adding to the celebration, Sai Swarup Mishra showcased incredible talent and secured the 2nd Runner-Up position in the Brahmastra Footloose Solo Modern Dance Competition.

KodesSphere v2.0 lit up the campus with an electrifying blend of code, creativity, and
collaboration! Organized by the passionate members of Konnexions, this edition of the event
was a true testament to the power of student innovation and technical brilliance.
The day began on an inspiring note with a graceful inaugural ceremony. Our esteemed
Faculty-in-Charge — Dr. Soumya Ranjan Mishra, Dr. Abhaya Kumar Sahoo, and Dr.
Saurabh Bilgaiyan — led the traditional lamp-lighting ritual, symbolizing the ignition of
knowledge and innovation. Their powerful words resonated deeply with the audience, reminding
everyone of the limitless possibilities that lie at the intersection of passion and perseverance.
The main highlight of the event, the Hackathon, brought together bright minds from across the
campus. Divided into three cutting-edge domains — Web Development, App Development,
and Machine Learning — participants dived headfirst into building real-world solutions to
modern-day challenges. Teams brainstormed tirelessly, designed prototypes, and coded
relentlessly to bring their ideas to life — all within a tight 8-hour timeframe. The atmosphere in
the room was electric, filled with the sounds of typing, hushed debates, and the occasional
cheer of success as breakthroughs were made.
To keep spirits high and minds fresh, we interspersed the intense hacking sessions with fun
quizzes, interactive mini-games, and impromptu activities. These light-hearted moments
brought laughter and camaraderie to the event, allowing participants to relax, recharge, and
connect with fellow tech enthusiasts.
After an action-packed day of development, the teams submitted their final models, each a
unique blend of innovation, technical prowess, and user-centric design. A panel of expert judges
evaluated the submissions based on originality, functionality, impact, and presentation.
The event culminated in a heartwarming valedictory session, where Prof. Bhabani Shankar
Prasad Mishra, Dean of the Computer Science Department, graced the stage to felicitate the
winners. He commended the students not just for their brilliant solutions, but for embodying the
spirit of innovation and teamwork. His words left a lasting impression on all attendees,
motivating them to continue striving for excellence.

From the first spark of an idea to the final demo, KodesSphere v2.0 was more than just an
event — it was a celebration of talent, teamwork, and tech-driven transformation. Whether it

On 30th March 2025, at Bhanja Kala Mandap, Sai Swarup Mishra earned the 2nd Runner-Up title in the Modern Dance Solo category during the X-Factor State Level Competition, showcasing remarkable talent and stage presence.

The annual event “ZAAHIRANA“, organized by Khwahishein– The Hindi Society on March 29, 2025, was a grand success, featuring remarkable performances and thrilling competitions.

The morning session hosted three major competitions:

• Kavyansh (Poetry) – Sanatan Sharma secured the first position, while Anushka Tiwari was the runner-up.
• Dangal (Debate) – A dynamic debate competition where Anshuman Singh emerged as the winner, Abhiman Gururani as first runner up and Kavya Jha received a special mention.
• Hasya Ekalap (Standup) –Spandan Chakraborty captivated the audience and claimed the first position.

The cultural evening mesmerized the audience with captivating performances. The main attractions were:

• Bharat-Kaikeyi Samvaad (Play/Act) – A powerful poetic play that depicts the intense moment when Bharat returns to Ayodhya and learns the heartbreaking news of Lord Rama’s exile.
• Zugalbandi – A unique blend of humor and satire, this poetic duel had the audience roaring with laughter. Poets entertained everyone with their witty and exaggerated farzi (mock) couplets and verses, making the session highly engaging.
