Hindi language and culture took center stage at KIIT University with one-day celebration of 'Zaahirana' organised by Khwahishein, the Hindi society of KSAC. 'Zaahirana’ had five sub-events which included Kavyansh , Dangal, Shero Shayri, Hasya Ekalap , and Story writing. 300 students were part of this celebration.
The "Regional New Year" was celebrated by KIIT Student Activity Centre at the Rose Garden. The Students of KIIT showcased the rich traditions of various states of India through dance and music. More than 1000 Students of various states gathered and celebrated .The evening started with Registrar Prof. Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty, VC Prof Saranjit singh and Founder Dr. Achyuta Samanta, who addressed the assemblage of staffs and students.
The "17th Edition of Udghosh- the National Open Quiz" was open to individuals of all ages from schools, colleges, and the corporate world. The event received an overwhelming response, with over 800 participants from across the country competing in the preliminary round followed by the final round. The preliminary round consisted of 30 mind-bending questions, hosted by quizmaster "Major Chandrakanth Nair" , one of the known figures in the quizzing circuit. KHETSHEN – The Annual celebration of International Students from over 65+ countries rocked the campus with its unique glamour, glaze and glitterati. KHETSHEN celebrated diversity of culture and tradition of various countries connected by the thread of unity in a global village. Students showcased their talent through amazing music & dance performances in this event. Around 700 students showed up for this magnificent event. It was hosted by the International Student Society KSAC.
"Kamakshi & He-For-She" collaborated with "Social Media Matters", a Delhi-based NGO, to host the "TECH SAHELI" workshop, spearheaded by Pratishtha Arora, CEO of Social Media Matters. The workshop aimed to bolster the safety of women and youth in the online sphere. A total of 120 students had participated in this workshop.
The seventh edition of the annual techno-cultural fest of KIIT University was organised from "14 -16 February 2024" with 15000+ participants 1000+ organizing Committee Members. This "three-day Mega Event" is one of the largest tech and cultural fest in the Eastern part of India. Day 1 kicked off with the Inuguration ceremony and Cultural Performance by KIIT Students. Khwahishein, the Hindi Society of KIIT Student Activity Centre, KIIT University, organized the "Shaam-e-Sukhan", a poetry, storytelling & stand-up comedy event on 25th January 2024 in the open Air theatre of Campus 3. Around 60 students participated in the event and showcased their talent.
Kronicle, the Debating Society of KIIT conducted the "Founder 's Cup-Oratory Event" on 14 January, 2024. A total of 150 number of students had participated in this event.
'Kamakshi & HeforShe,' the society dedicated to Gender empowerment(SDG5) at KIIT Student Activity Centre, hosted a Mock Policy Forum in celebration of "National Girl Child Day" on January 24, 2024. The mock forum discussed key schemes like Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana and Balika Samridhi Yojana, emphasizing support for NGOs to drive positive societal changes. Notable initiatives including NSGI, OSC, Mukhyamantri Kanya Utthaan Yojan were highlighted. Around 100 students participated in the event.
The students of KIIT Student Activity Centre celebrated Lohri on 13th January 2024. Like every year, it is celebrated at the end of the winter season by the lighting of Bonfire, dancing and singing in the praise of the Dulla Bhatti. Sweets and popcorn were put into the fire as offerings to God by the dignitaries and students. More than 600 Students of various states gathered and celebrated this auspicious occasion at Rose Garden, Campus 18, KIIT University.
