On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, KSAC family with our dear students and staff came together to follow and execute the ideology of Swacchhata Hi Seva! In the true spirit of service and cleanliness, 100 students from different societies including our staff came forward with the motto of Cleaning hands and Greening the campus making it a part of their social responsibility.
KORUS, the Music & Dance Society at KSAC, secured the first position in the PIROUETTE dance competition held on 30th September 2024 at XIM University. They were also felicitated with the prestigious Winning University Cup at the Concordia National Media Fest 2024, hosted by XIM University.
The KIIT International Model United Nations (KIIT MUN) is a premier global simulation of the "United Nations", renowned for its excellence and innovation since its inception in 2013. Organized by the dedicated Secretariat of students from the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, KIITMUN has consistently set new benchmarks. On the occasion of Hindi Diwas, Khwahishein , the official Hindi Society of KSAC organized a three day event out of which two days were spent as an outreach event at the Government schools located at Prasanti Vihar and Patia, Bhubaneswar. The final day witnessed an extraordinary celebration through its annual event, "Abhivyakti," which took place on 13th September 2024 inside Campus 7 Auditorium. Kimaya, the medical society of KIIT conducted an observation on World Suicide Prevention Day. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Jayaprakash Russell Ravan (Dept. of Psychiatry, KIMS) and Dr. Udit Kumar Panda (Dept. of Psychiatry KIMS). The event highlighted the signs and risk factors of suicide prevention, engaging the audience on what their believe on suicide prevention is and teaching them the steps they can take to save a life. The Student Societies' Induction Ceremony was held on 2nd Sep 2024 in which the society coordinators and asst. coordinators were chosen among all of the 28 societies under KIIT Student Activity Centre. The ceremony was graced by Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT and KISS; Prof. Dr Saranjit Singh, Vice Chancellor, KIIT and Dr. Shyam Sundar Behura, Additional Registrar and head of KSAC, KIIT University. On International Dogs Day, our society KIIT Animal and Environmental Welfare Society (KAEWS) conducted a successful food drive to feed stray dogs around the vicinity of KIIT University. International Dogs Day is celebrated on August 26th to raise awareness about dog adoption and to encourage people to care for dogs in need including strays . Additionally, one of the goals of this day is for people to recognize how many dogs need to get rescued every year. On the occasion of Independence Day, in a heartfelt gesture, the dedicated members of Kraftovity Society came together to create a 3D model and handmade flags as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. The Flags were proudly distributed to our vigilant security guards and the brave police personnel in acknowledgment of their invaluable service to our community and nation in and around our KIIT Campuses. Around 50 society students volunteered for this memorable event.
Qutopia, the official quizzing society of KSAC, KIIT University, hosted its annual in-house university quiz ‘Launchpad’ at Campus-11 Auditorium witnessing a fair footfall of 650 students to enjoy and witness the event. It showcased many interesting questions and answers and increased the knowledge of the participants as well as the audience. The winners were awarded books and certificates by Dr Shyam Sundar Behura, Additional Registrar and head of the KIIT Student Activity Centre.
The annual orientation of the Coordinators & Asst. Coordinators with regards to their respective societies for the session 2024-2025 was organized at the Founder's Hall of KSAC. Prof. Dr Shyam Sundar Behura, Additional Registrar, addressed the society Coordinators & Asst. Coordinators on their various duties and responsibilities and asked them to function their respective societies and their events that they will conduct in a fair and smooth manner. A great sense of energy and enthusiasm was seen amongst all the selected Coordinators and Asst Coordinators.
