Kimaya, the medical society of KIIT conducted an observation on World Suicide Prevention Day. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Jayaprakash Russell Ravan (Dept. of Psychiatry, KIMS) and Dr. Udit Kumar Panda (Dept. of Psychiatry KIMS). The event highlighted the signs and risk factors of suicide prevention, engaging the audience on what their believe on suicide prevention is and teaching them the steps they can take to save a life. ‘KIMAYA' Medical Society of KIIT Deemed to be University organized a two day Health Fest – CHIMERA on 20th-21st Jan 2024. It was enchanting to watch the congregation of the medicos, medical fraternity of Eastern India along with non medical students of KIIT and other major Universities participating in this cultural and knowledge festival. Kimaya Society in association with KIIT Animal and Environmental Welfare Society organized a Walkathon on World AIDS Day in which about 200 students participated in the event. The Walkathon started from Gandhi Statue, KIIT which was flagged off by Dr. Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty, Registrar and Prof. (Dr.) Shyam Sundar Behura, Additional Registrar, KIIT-DU. On the occasion of World Diabetes Day, members of KIMAYA, the Medical Society of KSAC, visited Chandaka Village, Bhubaneswar on Friday, 14th November 2023. The team members made people aware about the diabetes, modes of control, effect on oral health and the dos & don'ts. Student members of KIMAYA, the Medical Society, KSAC, visited Niladri Vihar Basti on World Immunisation Day where the group conducted Health talk  and provided knowledge upon the Immunization schedule. They also made people aware about the vaccination process & its needs & importance on every individual's life.
